Bahía de los Ángeles Airport (IATA: BHL) is a paved airstrip located 2 miles North of Bahía de los Ángeles, Baja California, Mexico. It handles general aviation service for the town of Bahía de los Ángeles. There is a permanent military guard for the security of the facilities and the aircraft.
There is a Mexican military base just north of the airport. However, there is no guard or personnel stationed at the airport. In fact, an airplane was stolen from the airport during the past year.
Actually two planes have been stolen in the past year (2009). One in February was stolen from the Flying Doctors. A second was stolen in July.
